We are committed to helping older people live independent lives.

Our Older Persons’ Service offers a range of housing options designed to meet the needs of older people.

Retirement housing

Retirement housing offers purpose-built accommodation for older people who do not need the services of on-site staff or an emergency call system.

Retirement housing tenants have access to a visiting housing officer.

These developments benefit from lift access, scooter stores and a communal lounge.

Retirement Plus

Retirement Plus housing provides an enhanced tenancy management service and is delivered by part-time retirement housing officers who work Monday to Friday.

It is an option for people who are independent, but also need an added sense of security.

The properties benefit from an emergency call system monitored by a specialised call centre, which responds to calls when there are no staff on site (evenings and weekends).

Facilities include lifts, communal laundries and lounges and guest bedrooms (tenants can book these for a small charge). Facilities vary depending on the development.

Unfortunately given the age and design of these properties, the majority are unsuitable for electric wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
